No more Internet? New connections for digital humanity

SLF talks about innovation, digital and our life in contemporary society.

This year's theme - 'No more Internet? New connections for digital humanity' - invites reflection on the evolution of the Net and the need to imagine a more ethical and sustainable digital future.

If the original utopia of the free and open web, born in 1993 at CERN with Tim Berners-Lee, now seems distant, today connectivity is dominated by Big Tech and algorithms that influence information, sociality and perception of reality. The arrival of artificial intelligence accentuates these transformations, raising urgent questions about governance, accountability and digital rights.

The Festival, promoted in collaboration with institutions, companies and universities, aims to stimulate a debate on the new forms of connection possible, enhancing the principles indicated by UNESCO for an ethical use of technologies.
