The main activity of the Teatro Comunale di Modena in the Media Arts sector is dedicated to video communication with particular reference to the broadcasting of shows in streaming, especially in the operatic field.
The Teatro Comunale of Modena and the EDUNOVA center of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia have continuously undertaken a multi-year activity of video transmission of shows in live streaming, reaching a quality recognized among the first places nationally in this sector .
The expertise acquired and the collaboration with the EDUNOVA university center have allowed the Teatro Comunale of Modena (as an accredited body for higher education) to create, starting from 2018, for the first time in Italy, a higher education course professional on video communication in live entertainment.
In March 2023, About Birds was performed, a work composed by the multifaceted and multimedia artist Yuval Avital. Visual arts and music meet in Avital’s work. A fusion between different genres and disciplines, an innovative storytelling that combines the different languages of technology in the creation process and during the execution (By the Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni, in collaboration with FMAV Fondazione Modena Arti Visive).</h5 >
