On 19 April from 9.30 a.m., linked to the Open Laboratory, the realities in the bid committee coordinated by the municipality and new members present projects live on Facebook

On Monday 19 April at 9.30 a.m., a new meeting on the presentation of Modena's candidacy as Unesco Creative City for the Media Arts cluster will take place live on Facebook on the municipal social channel 'City of Modena'. The meeting, entitled 'Futura Creativa', will be attended by the subjects of Modena's cultural scene that are part of the Promoting Committee coordinated by the City Council, but also by new private companies that are joining the process with new projects, such as the Young Group of Confindustria Emilia and 'Ammagamma', a data science company that offers artificial intelligence solutions to companies.

'Our candidacy,' emphasises Andrea Bortolamasi, councillor for Culture, 'is intended to be a process, and focuses on strengthening the existing network and future developments and transformations. A network that the city can count on in a stable and structured manner and that is already opening up to new entities, including private ones that are interested'. Looking at the European and international perspective, the candidacy process will also be able to count on the experience already developed by Linz, an Austrian city twinned with Modena, since 2014 among the Unesco Creative Cities in the Media Arts cluster. Other cities that are part of the Unesco Creative Cities Network will connect, as 'auditors', to Monday's online initiative.

The programme of the meeting opens with institutional greetings by Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, mayor of Modena, and Mauro Felicori, regional councillor for Culture and Landscape, while councillor Bortolamasi will present the candidacy process. Following this, Diego Teloni of the Laboratorio Aperto in Modena will talk about the "role of collaborative spaces for the cultural and creative industry", before the speech by Vittorio Salmoni, coordinator of the Italian Unesco Creative Cities, on the theme "The role of the Network of Unesco Creative Cities for recovery after the global pandemic".

Green light, then, to the presentation of projects, starting from the "Education" sphere, with Donatella Solda, director of Fem Future Education Modena, who will speak about "Media Arts: Learning and Collective Intelligence". "Liberating creativity: the paths of digitalisation" is instead the topic that will be addressed by Matteo Al Kalak, director DhMoRe Interdepartmental Research Centre on Digital Humanities. This will be followed by two speeches in the "Digitisation" sphere: the first, "The Digital Library to open museum doors: Estense digital library and the Estense Galleries" will be given by Martina Bagnoli, director of the Estense Galleries; the second, "AFOr: enhancing memories and knowledge, the intangible heritage of the territory" will be given by Silvia Tagliazucchi, president of the association CivicWise Italia. Then we enter the chapter on "Contamination", which includes the speech by Lorenzo Respi, production director of Fondazione Modena Arti Visive, on "Literacy and digital arts", and that of Francesca Garagnani, cultural manager of the 71 MusicHub music centre in Modena on "71Musichub: music in Media Arts. Actions of integrated creativity'. For the section "The enterprise that creates culture", Luca Baraldi, head of corporate identity at Ammagamma, talks about "Manifesto of sensitive rationality: the humanistic depth of artificial intelligence", while Michele Poggipolini, president of the Gruppo Giovani Imprenditori di Confindustria Emilia (Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Emilia) presents the "Archives of the future" project. The "Conclusions" are entrusted to the speech "Factories of digital culture" by Daniele Francesconi, director of festivalfilosofia and head of Ago.

The streaming of the initiative, as well as on the City of Modena Facebook page, can also be followed live on the Facebook pages of several of the participants: 'fondazione dimodena' - "AGOModenaFaCultura" - "laboratorioapertomodena" "GGIConfindustriaEmilia/live".
