On Saturday 28 February, a day dedicated to local realities between innovation and collaboration. Open registration for independent developers, teams and companies

Digital micro-startups and small and medium-sized enterprises face each other in a day dedicated to innovation and collaboration. On Saturday 28 February, the Laboratorio Aperto of Modena promotes 'Indie SaaS Day Modena 2026', an event designed to bring together entrepreneurial groups and companies in the area, fostering growth, the development of high-potential technological solutions and new opportunities for qualified networking.

The day takes place at the Laboratorio Aperto in Modena, Viale Buon Pastore 43, offering intensive training and business matching. The event is open to independent developers and teams - both with software already developed and in the idea phase - and companies interested in learning about innovative digital projects. Registration is open online on the Eventbrite platform.

The morning, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is dedicated to training founders and developers of self-funded (bootstrapped) SaaS micro-startups. Three speeches offer concrete tools to improve the positioning of projects and prepare them for the market. Davide Muzzarelli, Web Development & Digital Marketing Expert, will delve into the "indie" approach and best practices for self-funded micro-startups; Riccardo Carlesso, Developer Advocate of Google Cloud, will illustrate the Google method for the start-up and growth of a startup and the role of corporate culture in team development.

In the afternoon, after a lunch break and an hour of autonomous work to refine presentations, participants will present their pitches in front of the audience and the companies present. This will be followed by business matching: a moment of direct confrontation that has no recruiting or investment purpose, but aims to stimulate collaboration, experimentation and possible first customers.

The projects involved cover various areas of digital transformation: from the simplification of business processes to the valorisation of data, from the digitalisation of services to the creation of new tools for professionals and organisations. The initiative is part of the activities of the Atuss project, the Urban Transformation Agenda for Sustainable Development of the Municipality of Modena, one of the general objectives of which is to support the digital transition, in order to contribute to the creation of digital communities at local level, increasing the skills of citizens and businesses and encouraging their development and expansion.
