Connected to the Open Laboratory, realities in the promoting committee and new members, such as Ammagamma and Gruppo Giovani Confindustria presented their projects live on Facebook

"The future must continue to live here, in a city that looks ahead to the post-Covid restart by putting culture at the centre. Culture that, as we know so well in Modena, brings employment and economic growth and strengthens the community's identity through values, ideals, ideas and projects'. This was said by Modena Mayor Gian Carlo Muzzarelli as he introduced the online meeting 'Futura Creativa', which took place on Monday 19 April live on Facebook on the 'City of Modena' social channel. It was a new meeting on the presentation of Modena's candidacy as Unesco Creative City for the Media Arts cluster, attended by the subjects of Modena's cultural scene that are part of the Promoting Committee coordinated by the City Council, but also by new private companies that are joining the process with new projects, such as the Young People's Group of Confindustria Emilia and 'Ammagamma', a data science company that offers artificial intelligence solutions to companies. A further step towards defining the project with which Modena will apply.

"The interest and involvement of private entities," emphasises Andrea Bortolamasi, councillor for Culture, "gives strength and coherence to our proposals, which will soon begin to open up to the international sphere as well. Already at Monday's meeting, together with other cities in the Unesco Creative Cities Network, Linz, an Austrian city twinned with Modena, which has been among the Unesco Creative Cities in the Media Arts cluster since 2014, was also connected. "Coordination on the candidacy carried out by the City Council," adds Bortolamasi, "is a work of stitching together and strengthening a network that involves our cultural ecosystem for a Modena that proposes itself as a thinking and innovative city, attentive to the objectives of the UN's Agenda 2030, and where former production and manufacturing plants are already being rethought as spaces for creativity.

Mauro Felicori, Regional Councillor for Culture and Landscape, said at the opening of the proceedings that the Region's support is full and that Modena does well to engage in a challenge that will push its image in a global and not just European context. Fabio Sgaragli for Laboratorio Aperto Modena - Fondazione Brodolini; Vittorio Salmoni, coordinator of the Italian Unesco Creative Cities; Donatella Solda, director of Fem Future Education Modena; Matteo Al Kalak, director of DhMoRe Interdepartmental Research Centre on Digital Humanities; Martina Bagnoli, director of the Gallerie Estensi; Silvia Tagliazucchi, of CivicWise Italia; Lorenzo Respi, production director of Fondazione Modena Arti Visive; Francesca Garagnani, cultural director of the Music Centre 71 MusicHub in Modena; Luca Baraldi, head of corporate identity of Ammagamma; Michele Poggipolini, president of the Gruppo Giovani Imprenditori di Confindustria Emilia; and Daniele Francesconi, director of festivalfilosofia and head of Ago.
