The Estensi Galleries have undertaken a vast digital promotion and publication of their art and book collections.
On the museum website approximately 15,000 works are published today, many of which such as medals, coins, drawings and matrices, normally kept in deposits and therefore not otherwise visible.

In 2019, the Digital Humanities Estense Digital Library project was born, a platform dedicated to the digitization of the heritage kept at the Estense University Library of Modena. An online space where precious documents and historical sources are preserved and made accessible to the general public.
