A section of the municipal Internet portal is dedicated to Modena's candidature process, in which the city's spaces and activities related to the 'Media Arts' theme are also displayed

Ten, fourteen and thirty-one. These are the first numbers linked to the pathway that is underway for Modena's candidacy as Unesco Creative City 2021 for the "Media arts". They are taken from an online map of subjects and city initiatives relating to the "cluster" for which the city is applying, under the banner of dialogue between the humanities, sciences and new technologies, declined by creative productions. The map, which will dynamically follow the stages of the journey, can be viewed in a new section of the municipal Internet portal (www.comune.modena.it/cittacandidataunescomediaarts).

Ten are the current members, in a network with each other and with the Municipality, of the promoting committee that remains open to other adhesions. They are Fondazione di Modena; Unimore; Gallerie Estensi - Mibact; Fondazione Brodolini; Fmav; Fem; Ert; Fondazione Teatro Comunale; Art-ER; Fondazione San Carlo.

There are instead 14 spaces proposing or hosting initiatives highlighted on the map of Modena, of which one is multiple (independent initiatives). These are the venues of Ago Modena fabbriche culturali, Fem, Gallerie Estensi and Musei Civici, Ert, DhMore, Laboratorio Aperto, San Carlo, For Modena, Biblioteche comunali, Fmav - MuFi (Museo figurina), Teatro Comunale Pavarotti, 71 Music Hub - Centro Musica.

The 31 Modenese projects in progress or in the pipeline related to Media Arts are divided into five categories identified by different colours: Education, Digitisation, Training Arts, Visual Arts, Music. They range from a series of planned festivals (Cinedanza, Dig, Viaemili@docfest, Node, Virtual reality movie, Vie) to the Estense digital library and the Lodovico database; from training workshops on Media and visual arts to training for creative enterprises in the audiovisual field; from the high-level training for digital set design "Digital atelier" to the online programming of ErtonAir and Opera streaming; from the digitisation of the Museo della Figurina to the high-level training course for video communication in the performing arts; from the civic digital publishing house "Il Dondolo" to the Urban video courses of the Music Centre. The dedicated web page also contains news and information on the application process.
