460 people from all over Italy enrolled in the free "Out of the frame" teacher training courses. And 16 from Monday 27 January are taking part in the winter camp on video storytelling.
Sixteen teachers from six high schools in Emilia-Romagna and Liguria are taking part in the winter camp dedicated to videostorytelling in Modena from Monday 27 January as part of the project "Out of the Frame. Educazione all'immagine tra innovazione e futuro" (Out of the Frame. Image education between innovation and the future), which has also seen 460 teachers from all over Italy, from kindergartens to high schools, sign up for the free on-line courses that have just started. The initiative is proposed by Fondazione AGO Modena Fabbriche Culturali, Wonderful Education - Future Education Modena (FEM), in collaboration with ANISA (the National Association of Art History Teachers) and Flash Future within the framework of the National Plan Cinema and Images for Schools promoted by the Ministries of Culture and Education and Merit.
The proposed paths promote the active participation of the new generations in the creation of visual content and connect the development of scientific-technological and humanistic-expressive skills, computational thinking, computer science and visual skills of reading, writing, comprehension and image processing. The project promotes the use of visual media as places of deep, personalised, active and conscious learning for the acquisition of interpretative keys to the contemporary world and authentic and motivated learning. The educational experience is flanked by practical activities and challenges on topical issues, with courses on video, video games and artificial intelligence. Teachers and students, therefore, can experiment and acquire specific skills in different areas (digital, communicative, expressive, design) corresponding to today's increasingly sought-after professions. The course also offers opportunities for meeting and exchange, stimulating discussion among participants and motivating their involvement.
The three-day winter camp, which opens on Monday 27 January at Palazzo Santa Margherita with a masterclass by the visual artist and videomaker Debora Vrizzi, in collaboration with Biografilm Festival, also includes specific in-depth studies on digital video production techniques (Photography and video shooting, Machinima - computer animation within virtual platforms, AI for images and videos) that teachers will then be able to put into practice, with the support of the trainers, to produce new audiovisual products with the students of their schools, works that will be exhibited at Fondazione AGO next May.
