The first announcement has been published Euroclusters for Thriving Creative and Cultural Industries (CHREATHRIV-EU) of the COSME section of the Single Market programme (SMP), which aims to financially support SMEs in the cultural and creative industries (CCI).
Funded projects and activities must be completed by 30/04/2024 and meet one of the following challenges:
- diversifying products/services/content on the basis of digital technologies, especially in the area of heritage, archives and KIC libraries;
- support the green transition of the audiovisual and multimedia sector and the performing arts;
- closing the skills gap in the KIC workforce and supporting greater female participation;
- increase business opportunities through internationalisation and synergies along and between supply chains.
Beneficiaries: SMEs in the cultural and creative industries active in the following sectors:
- cultural heritage, archives, libraries;
- audiovisual and multimedia including information technology, software and computer services;
- printing and publishing;
- visual arts;
- performing arts;
- education.
Co-financing:
- € 5,000 for small-scale projects to develop a project with an external expert, i.e. a mapping of specific needs and the provision of recommendations/action plans in the areas of risk management and mitigation, digitisation, green transition, innovation and technology, internationalisation, retraining or skills development;
- € 20,000 for collaborative projects in which SMEs will have to work with at least one other organisation on a pilot project to develop and prototype a product with a minimum level of 4 technology and commercial maturity (TRL and CRL). The activities supported will be the development of an emerging technology or the improvement of an existing product or technology.
