PersonArt is an interactive system based on Artificial Intelligence that allows you to find similarities between real faces and artistic images. The visitor is involved in a path that allows him/her to discover his/her own gender among the portraits of the Galleria Estense in Modena, starting an original and engaging journey. At the basis of the result are some algorithms based on Deep Neural Networks that aim to identify the face and extract its salient features in order to calculate the similarities between the visitor's face and those exhibited in the Gallery.

Furthermore, PersonArt uses the artistic technique to reduce the domain gap between photos and artistic images, ensuring an accurate result that transcends texture differences. The results are processed remotely from the high-performance server at the Lab. site in the Department of Engineering.

AimageLab researchers introduced these techniques at the most important international meeting on Computer Vision (CVPR).
