With OperaStreaming, the Teatro Comunale takes its operas around the world. The "Moses in Egypt' by Gioachino Rossini, staged on Friday 18 and Sunday 20 October 2024, was seen by almost 4,000 fans, some of whom travelled from Venice, California, Sapporo and Brazil.

Opera Streaming* is the first regional opera portal in Italy. Performances can be viewed free to air on the project's YouTube channel.

*OperaStreaming proposes a seasonal programme of live video broadcasts realised in the main opera houses of Emilia-Romagna (the Bologna Opera Foundation, the Tradition Theatres of Piacenza, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Ferrara and Ravenna, the Amintore Galli Theatre of Rimini) in collaboration with EDUNOVA-University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

The aim of the project is to identify and promote, through a global communication tool, the Emilia-Romagna Region as a territory of opera tradition and of opera production of absolute international prestige. The aim of the project is also to provide, also within the regional territory itself, a service addressed to audience groups that are disadvantaged in the enjoyment of theatre activities.
