CULT (Citizens' dialogue and exchange on CULTURAL heritage and media arts as a tool for creating a stronger EU identity) è un progetto europeo finanziato dal programma “Cittadini, Uguaglianza, Diritti e Valori”. L’obiettivo del progetto: mettere in relazione due città Modena (Italy) and Karlsruhe (Germania), entrambe membri della Rete delle Città Creative dell’UNESCO (UCCN) – cluster Media Arts.

From October 2024 to September 2025, artists, students, professionals, entrepreneurs in the cultural sector and representatives of cultural institutions from the two cities involved will meet and work together to define cultural and tourist itineraries useful for enhancing the places and contexts in which they experiment with ways of producing and enjoying works of art and cultural products by means of digital technologies and multimedia applications.

• The selection
  sono stati selezionati 50 cittadini (25 provenienti da Modena e 25 da Karlsruhe), attivi a vario titolo nell’ambito del digitale applicato alla cultura.
• First step: getting to know each other at a distance
  Those involved got to know each other through two long-distance meetings, which focused on the presentation of the activities and cultural institutions in Modena and Karlsruhe, on the debate concerning Media Arts in different cultural and geographical contexts, and on the relationship between Media Arts, cities and citizens.
• Second step: exchange visits in presence
  two exchange visits were organised in their respective cities with the aim of refining, through workshops and laboratories, mutual knowledge and jointly identifying urban itineraries focused on local places and realities that use new technologies and digital technology to create art and cultural content.
