Exhibition between photography, memory and AI: three artists question the boundary between document and simulation - realised for festivalfilosophy 2025
Photorealism and the photographic device have long represented a guarantee of credibility and historical documentation. Today, however, images not only evoke reality and collective memory, but can also manipulate it, amplifying propaganda dynamics. The advent of artificial intelligence makes this boundary between document and simulation even thinner.
It is on this terrain that the exhibition project that brings together three works moves: Trip to Italy (2023-25) by Roberto Beragnoli, The Manhattan Project (2022) by Andrea Camiolo and E.T.N.A. (2023) by Valerio Eliogabalo Torrisi.
Presentation: Friday 19 September at 17.00 in the presence of the curators
