On the occasion of the personal "Most to Least Viewed" by Eva & Franco Mattes at FMAV - Palazzo Santa Margherita, the pair of artists will dialogue with Pietro Montani, Professor of Aesthetics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", on the themes of the aesthetics of the virtual and the impact of digital technologies on our daily lives, as well as the function and distribution of images and news shared every day on social networks. As Internet users, we are receivers and senders, conscious and unconscious, of data of immeasurable scope in a system that influences and conditions our view of the world. Examining the web as an increasingly centralised, corporatised, censored and monitored system, the conversation will reflect on our contemporary condition of hyper-connected living, approaching the ethics, aesthetics and politics of online life.
