The Duomo Museums, located within the area of respect of the Unesco Site of Modena, complete the visit to the Cathedral allowing for a full understanding of its history and events.
They include a collection consisting of sculptural fragments belonging to the cathedral and its predecessors, and one consisting of works and furnishings testifying to the vitality of the Modenese Church over the centuries.
The new visitor route created in 2023 on the second floor allows visitors to learn about the main stages in the history of the monumental complex recognised by Unesco in 1997 in an interactive and engaging manner and to appreciate the unique and unrepeatable features that motivated the inclusion of the Cathedral, Ghirlandina Tower and Piazza Grande in the World Heritage List.
