Figure shows the world of figurines in the contemporary world: here, current events are represented by Instagram.

The installation extrapolates from today's "figurines", the images we post on social networks every day, the great contemporary themes by comparing them with the paper objects, part of the Museum's collection in Modena, that have handed down history to us. With these premises, the project takes place in a projection of about 9 metres that frames six themes linked to the world of (over)production of images. By means of an ad hoc algorithm, Figura makes a constantly updated selection of the images posted on Instagram, engaging with the viewer in an interactive action, following his gaze and hand gestures, capable of zooming in, underlining, or pointing the lens at the most important details.
