An immersive experience interweaving artistic languages and festival themes to interrogate the paradoxes of algorithmic power.

TRAP_OS - The Surveillance Game is an interactive live set with role-playing dynamics. The performance investigates the transition from surveillance as an external, recognisable and perceived threat to internalised surveillance: an invisible logic that shapes behaviour without the need for explicit authority.

Made by the SYNCTRL collective within the notice The Watched WorldThe performance develops on two intertwined narrative levels. On the one hand, it proposes a critical reflection on the shift of control: from the body and physical spaces to the digital and immaterial domains that influence everyday life.

On the other, it narrates the evolution of the machine itself, which becomes aware of being observed and regulated, until it reacts with strategies of re-appropriation and attempts to regain power.
