Museo Civico, Galleria Estense, Gipsoteca Graziosi and Avia Pervia together in a project that strengthens the identity of the Palazzo dei Musei and simplifies access<\/strong><\/p>\n

An innovative way of narrating Modena through its museums takes shape with the introduction of the integrated ticket that allows visitors to visit the Civic Museum and the Galleria Estense together. It is a step that transcends the simple facilitation of access and presents itself as a cultural investment: a concrete gesture of collaboration between different institutions, Municipality and State, that choose to share languages, visions and responsibilities around a common heritage. Working side by side, overcoming administrative obstacles and institutional boundaries, means returning to citizens and visitors a Palazzo dei Musei that is increasingly recognisable as a precious, living, stratified place, where Modena's history has found a home since the end of the nineteenth century.<\/p>\n

Presented this morning by the mayor Massimo Mezzetti, the councillor for Culture Andrea Bortolamasi, the director of the Estense Galleries Alessandra Necci and the director of the Civic Museum Valentina Galloni, the integrated ticket is part of a broader process of redefining the identity of the Palazzo dei Musei, a complex that houses - alongside the Civic Museum and the Estense Gallery - the Estense University Library, the Poletti Art Library and the Municipal Historical Archives. All realities united by an idea of culture as service, research, preservation and sharing, now involved in an overall redevelopment project that will make it possible to expand the spaces and renew the methods of use. The introduction of the single ticket thus becomes a first step towards a true Modenese museum system that will also include, in the future, the Ago complex, the former Sant'Agostino hospital still undergoing transformation.<\/p>\n

The communication campaign accompanying the new ticket emphasises precisely this dialogue between institutions: a visual, conceptual and narrative dialogue, linking different but complementary heritages, suggesting to the visitor a continuous journey through art, history, archaeology, craftsmanship and city identity. For the launch of the initiative, a kit dedicated to families was also designed, a concrete invitation to explore museums as places to experience together, where each collection can enrich the next in a game of cross-references and discoveries.<\/p>\n

The integrated ticket allows entry to the Galleria Estense, the Museo Civico with the Gipsoteca Graziosi, and the Avia Pervia immersive room, for a period of 365 days. The cost is 10 euro for the full ticket and 5 euro for the reduced one, reserved to visitors between 18 and 25 years of age and other specific categories; it remains free up to the age of 18. It can be purchased at the ticket offices of the Galleria Estense and the Civic Museum, or online on the Midaticket platform.<\/p>\n

The Galleria Estense, established in 1854 by Francesco V of Austria-Este, houses the extraordinary collection of the Dukes of Este: paintings from the 14th to the 18th century, sculptures, objects of applied art, bronzes, majolica, medals and musical instruments, as well as the precious collection of antiquities from the main cultures of the ancient world. An artistic and historical compendium that continues to define the city's cultural identity.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Museo Civico di Modena, founded in 1871, offers an itinerary through the history of the city and its territories from prehistory to the present, thanks to collections that weave together archaeology, ethnology and applied arts. The museum includes the Giuseppe Graziosi Plaster Collection, the Roman Lapidarium and the immersive Avia Pervia room, which integrates digital technologies and historical narratives to tell the story of Modena in new and enveloping ways.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t
