Digital innovation, artificial intelligence, new cultural products and technologically advanced projects applied to music, figurative arts, theatre and education. These are the topics at the centre of \"Futura creativa\u00b2\", the meeting scheduled for Wednesday 15 September, at 6.30 p.m., at the Ducal Gardens, to present Modena's candidacy as Unesco Creative City for Media arts to the public.<\/p>\n

After having passed the national selection, together with the city of Como nominated for Crafts and Folk Art, Modena will in fact represent Italy at the final selection for entry into the Unesco Creative Cities network that will take place in Paris at the end of October. The network of creative cities currently consists of 246 cities in about eighty countries on five continents. In Italy there are eleven creative cities and Modena would be the only one selected for Media arts. Before arriving in Paris, Modena's candidature will also be presented in Carrara from 24 to 26 September and in Biella on 2 and 3 October, in the framework of the forums of the creative cities network.<\/p>\n

\"Futura creativa\u00b2\", the second presentation event of the candidacy, is an opportunity for dialogue with the many public and private entities contributing to the development of the project and will focus on the challenge of digital innovation in the cultural and artistic field. Admission must be booked in advance, online (biglietteria@emiliaromagnateatro.com<\/a>), by phone on 059 213 6021, at the box office of the Storchi Theatre or directly at the Ducal Gardens from one hour before the start. The Green Pass must be shown to gain access. The event will be streamed live on the City of Modena fb page (www.facebook.com\/cittadimodena<\/a>).<\/p>\n

After the greetings of the mayor Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, Mauro Felicori, regional councillor for Culture (present with a video message), and Paolo Cavicchioli, president of the Modena Foundation, the councillor for Culture Andrea Bortolamasi will present a preview of the candidacy video.<\/p>\n

Many themes will be explored in the speeches: 'Next generation city: how to valorise young talents through media arts' is the speech by Lara Oliveti, founder of the gaming company Melazeta; innovation in training and education is the theme of Donatella Solda, director of Fem-Future education Modena, while the development of digital technologies in theatre activities will be explained by Patrizia Ghedini, president of Ater Fondazione.<\/p>\n

Rita Cucchiara, professor of Artificial Vision at Unimore, will introduce the audience to the world of artificial intelligence applied to creativity and culture. Artificial intelligence from the point of view of cultural impact is also the topic of Luca Baraldi (head of corporate identity at Ammagamma), while 'Natural intelligence as nourishment for artificial intelligence' is the title of the speech by Maurizio Ferraris, professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Turin (from remote). Finally, 'Creative and resilient cities' is the theme of the speech by Costanza Ferrarini, from the Unesco Projects Office of the Alessandro Volta Foundation in Como.<\/p>\n

The meeting will end with an audiovisual performance by multimedia artist JesterN, entitled 'Laser drawing'.<\/p>\n
