DEEPSTARIA

The Teatro Comunale di Modena hosts 'Deepstaria', the show by the award-winning British choreographer and director McGregor, which harnesses the creative potential of the latest technologies in artificial intelligence, acoustic research and spatial computing to explore the relationship between real and digital experience.

Deepstaria premiered in 2024 at the Montpellier Danse festival, its title inspired by an enigmatic species of jellyfish.

Wayne McGregor is internationally renowned for innovative performances that have radically redefined dance in the modern era. Artistic Director of the Venice Dance Biennale, he is resident choreographer at the Royal Ballet and has worked with major companies including the Ballet de l'Opéra national de Paris, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, New York City Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Royal Dutch Ballet and San Francisco Ballet.
