“A logo that looks to the future, to technological transformations,” says Andrea Bortolamasi, City of Modena Councilor for Culture, “just as the challenge we are facing with our strong roots looks to the future. Those of a city that has creative know-how in its DNA and wants to increasingly become a place where, with a culture-centric approach, humanistic and scientific knowledge talk to each other to build the conditions for harmonious development”.

The authors of the logo, “Poltrini & Santunione” from Vignola, describe their work as follows:
“it was made by tracing the medieval and Roman heart of Modena, a hexagon and a rectangle, as a representative pictogram of the Modena Candidate city of Media Arts project, for its ability to evoke at the same time the identity of the city, its link with the past and the future, and the relationship to be established between technology and culture”.
