FMAV has been a centre for cultural production and professional and educational training aimed at disseminating contemporary art and visual culture, a point of reference in the interaction between different disciplines and artistic languages and in the dialogue between the arts, science and technology.
Since 2021 Fondazione FMAV has dedicated itself to research in the field of visual arts specifically addressing Digital Arts and New Technologies. Over time it has proposed thematic exhibitions, workshops and events dedicated to internationally renowned artists working in the field of digital visual arts.
The exhibition activities of FMAV were intertwined with the educational activities of the School of Higher Education: considered to be a landmark in the Italian and European cultural scene with a specialisation in the artistic and curatorial field.
In 2024 FMAV was assimilated into the Foundation AGO - Modena Cultural Factories
